Hotel Il Faro - Sorrento

The hotel was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, excellent services provided, awesome location close to the main square. Bright and extremely spacious room with terrace, an enormous balcony, a minifridge, great value for money....  

close to the beach (especially when you consider that all hotels up on the rocks and from there go down to the beach by elevator for 1 euro or walking down the stairs!) Near 4 beautiful restaurants + 2 on the beach, the pier...  

The location in front of the port that makes it easy to move around for boat visits to the Amalfi Coast is the best thing about it, besides the cleanliness. The attention of the two receptionists who are...  

Exceptional service offered, immaculate room with air-con, a balcony, large bathrooms. Good cooked breakfast selection with bacon, scramble eggs and excellent coffee.

Excellent location! Right on the beach, it's hard to think of anything more convenient. A few steps to the beach and port. To the center of 10-15 minutes: elevator, bus, stairs. We took a room overlooking the sea, 150%...  

We lived in a large room with a huge terrace, which offers a great view of everything at once: port, mountains, sea, ships, sunset, Vesuvius! The room is very spacious! The linen and towels are white. Cleaning is done every...  

The hotel which is a 3 star hotel is in an excellent location on the Marina Piccolo, well positioned for enjoying all that the Amalfe Cost has to offer, only a minute walk to the ferries for visiting the islands and other ports of interest. The walk...

Long walk up to downtown

We loved the location. It was literally right on the port, close to the beach (steps away). Its a walk up to the city but there are buses that run so often its very conveniant and they take you all the way up to the city and main square....  

Beautiful view. Close shopping. Good restaurants.

Access is a little difficult. Not as clean as it should be. Front desk people not as friendly as I would like.

The location is a gem, all within walking distance! We enjoyed the comfy room with fine marina views. The design is modern, and the cleanliness was very good. Loved chilling by the pool!

We paid for a seaview and were in awe of the rooms that we received. These were probably the best in the hotel due to the large balconies that they had. Hotel was spotless and the staff from morning to night were very...  

The location was ideal for our purposes of ferry trips to other towns and the restaurant attached to the hotel was very good and offered a 10% discount to Il Faro guests.

The air conditioner was very noisy and leaving the french doors open was not an option as it was not secure and also it was very noisy with noise from traffic & the port. Breakfast was not great for us Australians as it was mostly sweat breads but we survived.
